Welcome to the Scientifically-Based Reading Research Trainings PD page. Below you will find links to each of the three modules as well as a recommended study guide for each. We also have included a roadmap that indicates our recommended path through these trainings. Follow the map or chart your own course, selecting only the modules that serve your needs. These trainings can be done individually, by groups of teachers together or as a PLC.

Module 1
Study Guide – Dyslexia and MTSS
DYSLEXIA & MTSS—This module deals with dyslexia and the Multi-Tiered System of Supports. It dispels some myths about each (What IT IS NOT) and provides clear examples of how to work with both in the classroom (What IT IS).

THE SCIENCE OF LEARNING—This module defines learning and sets out effective strategies for effective learning. It defines what explicit and systematic instruction means and gives examples of each.

Study Guide – The Science of Reading
THE SCIENCE OF READING—This module explains why every teacher is a literacy teacher. It discusses several models of reading through the use of interactive examples to explain and clarify.
